Open Days / Hours:
• Opening Days – Tuesday - Saturday.
• Museum – 10am - 4pm (last entry: 3pm).
• Café – 10am - 3pm (last food orders: 2:30pm).
• Closed – Sunday & Monday.
• Last admission is at 3pm and the site closes at 4pm. We recommend allowing at least one hour for your museum visit, so please consider this when planning your arrival time.
• No Abandonment – Vehicles left for extended periods without notice may be towed at the owner’s expense.
• The café, shop and grounds are accessible without a ticket.
Parking:
Parking is free in our car park and vehicles are left at the owner’s risk. Brading Roman Villa Trust accepts no liability for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents.
Gates to the car park are closed and locked from 4pm.
Membership Entry:
If you are a Museum Association or Association for Roman Archaeology member, you are entitled to free entry on presentation of a valid membership card on arrival.
If you are visiting with non-members, they will need to book tickets via the website or pay on arrival at the museum as usual.
General Terms and Conditions of Sale:
When you confirm your purchase, you are accepting that these Terms and Conditions form the basis of an agreement between Brading Roman Villa Trust and yourself.
Ticket Validity:
• Your ticket provides 12 months of unlimited general admission to the museum from the date of purchase.
• The date of purchase can be found on your e-ticket or on tickets purchased at the museum.
• This ticket does not include special events and/or exhibitions for which an additional charge may apply. These will be advertised on our website: www.bradingromanvilla.org.uk
• Tickets are valid for 12 months only and cannot be extended beyond this period.
Refunds & Cancellations:
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, tickets for leisure services provided on a specific date or time are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period.
We operate a policy of no refunds or exchanges for tickets bought online or at the museum, unless an event or session is cancelled by Brading Roman Villa Trust.
Due to Charity Law, refunds cannot be given on annual passes.
In the event of a cancelled event or session, Brading Roman Villa Trust will refund the ticket price only and will not be liable for any additional expenses, including travel or accommodation.
Gift Aid:
If you are paying online or in person at the museum, please consider Gift Aid. If you are a UK taxpayer and make a Gift Aid donation, the Museum can claim an additional 25p for every £1 donated.
By selecting Gift Aid at the time of purchase, you confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and that you have paid sufficient Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount claimed.
Gift Aided tickets are subject to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) regulations. Please notify us if you wish to cancel this declaration, change your name or address, or no longer pay sufficient tax.
If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate, you may claim further tax relief through your Self-Assessment tax return. For more information regarding Gift Aid, please see HMRC guidance.
Ticket Use:
Tickets must not be sold, resold, transferred, or exchanged. Any attempt to do so will render the ticket void.
You may be asked to provide photo ID matching the name on your ticket. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry.
Failure to adhere to these Terms and Conditions may result in tickets being deemed invalid.
Admission Rights:
Brading Roman Villa Trust reserves the right to refuse entry or to terminate a visit at its reasonable discretion.
Admission for children under 5 is free.
Children aged 0–14 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
We welcome visitors who require support and offer free admission for one essential companion or carer when accompanying a full paying visitor.
No advance booking is required for essential companion or carer admission.
Visitors may be asked to show simple proof of eligibility, such as recognised disability or carer identification. We aim to keep this process discreet and respectful.
Brading Roman Villa Trust reserves the right to refuse complimentary companion admission where eligibility cannot reasonably be demonstrated.
Photography and Filming:
Brading Roman Villa Trust and permitted third parties may carry out general filming, live streaming, photography, and sound recording in and around the museum and site.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of staff on arrival.
Data Protection (GDPR):
Personal data collected during ticket purchases will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.
Our Privacy Policy is available on our website.
Force Majeure:
Brading Roman Villa Trust shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing access or events due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flooding, or government restrictions.
